Every Child Learns Differently
At ClearStepsLearning, I believe that every child deserves to feel confident, capable and successful in their learning.
Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) often benefit from learning that is adapted to suit their individual strengths, needs and interests. My approach focuses on understanding each child as an Individual and creating a supportive learning environment where they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and celebrate progress.
My Experience
I am a qualified primary teacher with experience supporting children across Early Years to Year 6, including children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with children who have experienced challenges with confidence, communication, attention, emotional regulation, literacy and maths. I understand that no two learners are the same and that successful support often begins with building trust understanding.
What does SEND-Informed Mean?
SEND-informed teaching does not mean lowering expectations. Instead, it means adapting learning so that children can access and engage with it in a way that works for them.
This may include:

✅ Using visual supports and clear explanations
✅ Allowing additional processing time
✅ Building confidence alongside academic skills
✅ Adapting resources to suit individual needs
